#musicmonday: Charming Disaster — "Immigrant Song"

Straight from their bio: “Charming Disaster is a musical duo based in Brooklyn, NY, formed in 2012 by Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris. Inspired by the gothic humor of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, the noir storytelling of Raymond Chandler, the murder ballads of the Americana tradition, and the dramatic flair of the cabaret, they write songs that tell stories about love, death, crime, ancient mythology, and the paranormal.”

With a description like that, it makes sense — if it's not downright mandatory — that they would do a gothic-acoustic cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song.”

We always love a good cover, especially one that creates something entirely new and different out of the original. This is one of those covers.

Happy Monday. Have a great week.
